I am looking for a good external BR burner. What do you use? If I look at internet I see they only burn 24p (1080) ? I asume that are no PAL burners right?

I am mac based and have been leaning towards this:

You can get it without Toast. The Panny burner BDR-XXX series has a problem with waking from sleep when used on a mac. Not a huge issue if you reset your energy panel or don't mind re-booting after sleep.

Either I am misunderstanding your question, or you are misunderstanding the way burners work.....
BD burners are signal/format/standard/data agnostic when it comes to authoring discs. Whatever format you encode your video into, is the format the burner will burn. So if you're encoding your video into 1080i or 25p, or the old PAL and NTSC and yes - even SECAM.... the burner will burn it.
Want to archive data from your computer? The burner will burn it. You just need the right authoring software. What are you using to edit your video? Chances are it comes with the software you need for authoring.

I am using FCS. In most burner manuals i read they only mention 1028/24p for playback so that is why I ask. I want to use it not only for backup of footage but also as a delivery medium for customers. Are there any aspects I have to consider when using it as a delivery media for customers??

I contacted LG and this LG burner is not available in The Netherland (and Benelux), it is for the US marcket. Strangely enough they could not give me any information about a similar LG burner available in The Netherlands. Strange company !!!!

LG are a good make they also have the same burner in overclockers uk for similar price..

I have that model Gary, it's working well for us at least on Esata. Not tried the USB option.

How right you are, I missed that. They do have a variety of burners in a box, often the same unit in a case.
