FS7: Extension Unit and Gold Mount Batteries?

Yes, have used that adapter on several F55s and FS7s. Works just fine. Leaving the Auto light switch to OFF is best.

This adapter ships with some small plastic shims and screws that help secure it & add strength. The F55 has threads on the V Mount to accept this reinforcement, but unfortunately the FS7 does not. Quite frustrating.

It's lightweight and thin, but also a bit on the flimsy side. It'll carry a Dionic or Digital 90 just fine. Would probably shy away from heavier batts like Hytron 140.

Best part is the universal audio plate bracket. Allows us to mount audio Rx, video Tx, TC boxes, etc. Very crucial for a small camera with few mounting points. (yes, I realize I have the plate on backwards. Keeps rig tighter. judgers.)

.

been using the system from day one and it works fine. Allows for a Dtap output to drive my Odyssey. No problems at all.

i would recommend sourcing some spare fuses. the fuse on the QR-DSR is pretty buried compared to the easily accessible fuse on the sandwich plate
