Some time ago I had taped some things for a friend's school project. I used an Ext HD connected via USB 2.0 and edited with Premiere Pro. The capture was fine, so was the audio.
But, when finished I sent it back to the DVX to record back to MiniDV. That's when the problems started. The audio was incredibly low and difficult to hear, and also began to click and stutter a LOT.
I haven't done anything with the camera since, but recently pulled it out and went back to AVID. I'd like to make sure that wasn't a camera problem, but perhaps something else, before I tape my next little project.
Was it the HD? Unable to keep streaming the video and audio at a steady rate? Was it Premiere Pro being... Premiere Pro? Or is there an issue with my DVX and I need it fixed?
I had taped a concert between now and the upset, and the audio on that was peachy. I have yet to send that over to the comp for tweaking.
