Exposure Meter In Video Mode For D800?

I have been shooting canon for some time. The exposure meter is on the bottom of the screen for the 7D, and the 5Dmark II. If you leave photo live view and go to movie live view the exposure meter stays on the bottom.

Now for the D800 the photo exposure meter is on the bottom as well for live view, however when I switch to movie mode live view there is no exposure meter. How can I fix this, I cant shoot video if I cant get the exposure right.

If you press the INFO button a few times you'll come across the histogram, which is arguably more useful. Could you use that instead?
 
I usually use my d800 with a ninja 2 which has zebras, but you can also hit down on the Dpad and go through a list of live-view options, man one is histogram , to me its more useful than a light meter.
