Hi
Had something strange happen on a shoot and wondered if anyone else has had this problem and or knows of a solution.
We were shooting in a lab that simulates lightning, because of the nature of the high current we had to be well back when the discharge occurred.
I lined the shot up and had the focus and exposure on manual. When the discharge happens there is a very bright flash that over exposes the shot for a very short amount of time, well less than a second.
When retunring to the camera the shot was out of focus and when I zoomed in to check the focus it was correct but zoomed out and it looked like a back focus issue. The only way I could get the camera to focus normally again was to switch it off and on. This happened a couple of times but not all the time and we did over ten simulations.
Anyone else had this problem or know if over exposure overides the manual settings?
We were shooting 1080/50i.
Thanks
G
