expose to the right for video?

Hey Y'all--

I had some questions about video mode on the 5D. I have been shooting on Neutral setting recently, as I don't want to mess too much with my image in post and try and get the best possible shot right in the camera. My questions relate to exposure I guess:

•When shooting and looking at the histogram, for video is it a good idea to expose to the right like it is with raw? Does it work the same way? I generally have been trying to get the bulk of my exposure right in the middle, and protect my highlights.

•Do people tend to use spot metering? With people as my focus, I tend to use spot, but are any of the other modes better?

•I know on the RED you tend to get a better image with daylight exposure, is there a better/best color temperature for the 5D?

I do a lot of run and gun, so there isn't much time for fussing or mussing, and I often have to rely exclusively on metering and histo to make sure I'm getting good exposure, so I want to make sure I'm using my gear the best way possible.

Thanks,
Matt

-Its not like raw where you expose to the right. I expose to the right in indoor situations when I'm trying to eliminate noise. outdoors you want to expose for the highlights as these camera retain very little detail in the highlights (see Zacuto shootout).
-I use spot metering pretty much exclusively
-Best would be to match the preset to the ambient light. The footage is very hard to change in post.
