Exporting Uncompressed 16x9?

Hi
I have a video shot squeezed with the dvx then edited in a 16x9 vegas canvas. Everything looks good, but I can't get it to export as a 16x9 video. The best I can do is get it as a letterboxed 4x3 video. I just want a final copy that can be brough into any NLE and opened in a widescreen template and look fine.

What settings need to be changed when rendering as a mov file 16x9?

thanks

If you're editing in a Widescreen project, the default settings when you choose Ucompressed under AVI should already be widescreen.

In any case, you either want 720x480 with a pixel aspect ratio of 1.21, or you want 854x480 with a pixel aspect ratio of 1.000.

For some reason, though, if you render uncompressed and bring it back into Vegas, it always reads the PAR as 1.000 no matter what you set it to. The video is still rendered correctly; if you manually set the PAR to what it's supposed to be, it's just fine.

If you're not that worried about it being uncompressed, you can also just render as DV Widescreen or 24p DV Widescreen, with 2-3-3-2 pulldown.

David,
This is a late response, sorry. I didn't even know this thread went through so I posted another one like it. I made progress in making a uncompressed 16x9 file, but i still have a problem. I exported as 854x480 and 1.000 PAR and i got almost the same thing in my timeline. The file I created has a black border when its in Vegas and Premieres widescreen canvas. The border is only a few pixels. When I say border I really just mean its a little too small to fit completely in the widescreen window that my timeline plays.

Any ideas?
It also gets sort of dim

Thanks
