Hi,
I edited a video in Vegas 7's NTSC 24p Wide screen canvas and it looks nice. I want to make a master uncompressed quicktime movie file of my video (which is about 30 seconds long). When I render it as a uncompressed quicktime, the file it creates looks 4x3 and is all stretched funny like I was looking at a old consumer camera's LCD as it was shooting 16x9.
When I bring this file into the same wide screen canvas it came out of, it only fills the middle part of the viewer and has black bars on the left and right. I right click it and go to properties then check off maintain aspect ratio and it stretches it out to fit the widescreen viewer and looks fine.
My problem is is that the movie file itself is actually 4x3 and when I bring it into other programs such as Premiere, it still only takes up the middle of the widescreen canvas, and there is no "maintain aspect ratio" setting that I can find in premiere.
Is there a more simple way to get a widescreen uncompressed quicktime file that all NLEs can read as being widescreen?
Thanks
