Exporting Squeeze DVX Footage?

Hi guys, I'm trying to make a deadline and throw something quick together for a company I might work for, but I'm having some issues exporting/uploading. I shot in Squeeze on the DVX100B, 24P. I'm trying to upload the footage to Vimeo/YouTube, but it's giving me an error message whenever I upload to Vimeo, and YouTube plays the first song for a second and ends. I have no idea why, but I've been searching around and am yet to find answers. I don't have time for another cut before the end of the day, so anyone with input would be great. If it means anything, I have a clip of AFE for the intro, but nothing but text.

Any words of wisdom from DVXUsers?

Okay... to make sure I'm with you...

You shot Squeeze.

24p, or 24p Advanced? In other words, did you edit at 29.97 or 23.976?

None of that really matters much for the process, except to dictate which frame rates you use in Compressor.

Basically, export from FCP as a self-contained movie at full DV NTSC resolution. This will export a 4:3, squeezed image.

Open Compressor and use it to prep the file for Vimeo/YouTube. Set your audio to AAC, stereo, 44.1kHz, 128kbps.

Set your video frame rate to the same as your edited video (29.97 or 23.976). Set the frame size to Custom, 854x480. That will create a native 16:9 image, or "unqueeze" the frame.

Restrict the data rate to 6000kbps. This will give you a good file size to start with, before Vimeo or YouTube compress it.

i'm having problems with squeeze as well, i'm trying to get rid of the letter boxing when i resize for vimeo upload

i found that before you start editing make sure your sequence is set to 720x480 and anamorphic 16:9 is checked

but my video is already edited, so i'm not sure how to fix it since pasting into the new timeline doesn't work
