Exporting (quality doesn't matter)

I'm trying to get viewable clips from footage I got on a ex1.

I tried to set it up for FCP but I'm having trouble downloading all the drivers from the Sony site.

Are there any other options for getting the footage viewable? I noticed in XDCAM EX clip browser you can export to a low-quality version (has a watermark on it though).

Is this my only options. Are there any other ways?

Use Clip Browser and export as "MXF for NLEs."

What version of FCP are you using?

YOu need XDCAM Transfer. It's free, and transcodes the files off the EX1 to .mov files that you can edit. Very simple.

I tried to talk to a sony rep but they said I needed the camera model number of which I don't have (I borrowed it from my school)

Isn't the model number "PMW-EX1"?

That's what he wants not the serial number.
