exporting P2

well i just got my P2 and have a few questions:
i have a powerbook and it takes the p2 card and mounts it - but now i am not able to get these files into FCP -

then i take my camera over to the powermac quad and im not able to mount footage on this -

i am using a 1394 to firewire straight into the mac and nothing - i know i missed something maybe cause im gettin tired -

Although this tutorial I put together covers 1080pa, the first couple steps will give you what you need:

The short answer is: You will need FCP 5 or later (5.1.1 is recommended.) Just right click, or >file>import>P2.

thnaks ive gotten it to work - i guess it was from being tired and not payig attentions .....
