Exporting out of FCP and AE

Ok. My trouble is Exporting and color correction with Magic Bullet. first thing first.

Exporting:

HVX Settings:

8gig P2 cards
720p 16x9 ratio
60p and 24p

So I edited my commercial and it looks good in the timeline. Now when I export it, I received some advice from other HVX users and they tolled me to export using QuickTime Conversion with settings of DVCPRO HD 720p24. And they also said that for backup, use settings of uncompress 4:2:2 10bit. So i did that, and it looks good. But, I want to know from you guys, I'm I doing it right with the exporting?

Next Question.

Color Correction in AE using Magic bullet. This is weird what i'm about to tell you. I'm using a MAC PRO and when I watch the final result on the MAC, and the look I was going for (Color Corrections) was right. But when I watch it on my PC, the color that I was going for wasn't showing. The desaturation was there but not the Greenish look. My buddy tolled me that because When you watch it in HD, you see the true color correction. But when you watch it in SD, you wont see the final result of the correction. Also, I though it might of been my PC, so I tried it on my DVD Stand alone Player; I ran into the same problem. I really don't understand this. Color corrections should never be effect by anything! What is the problem?

thanks

Couple of things here. Second question first. You never make determinations about video from a computer screen and you have just proven the point. Make your determination from a properly calibrated video monitor. In part, the gammas tend to differ between PC and Mac.

Exporting to AE-- are you in a 23.98 or 29.97 (59.94) timeline? Next, don't export using Quicktime conversion since that forces a recompression. Export a Quicktime movie self-contained with current settings. Finally, there is no reason to go through that at all. That's why Automatic Duck exists. Export from FCP using AD's free exporter and then bring into AE using Automatic Duck. You will then have your complete timeline in AE at your timeline settings. Color correct in AE monitoring on an external calibrated monitor.

Why would you save a DVCPRO HD file as uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2? You are not going to add anything. The DVCPRO HD compression has already been done and merely transcoding to an uncompressed codec doesn't recreate resolution that has already been compressed.
