exporting for vegas (sounds like a movie title)

Hello friends,
I filmed some 720/30fps with my hvx, for a friend. I'm using final cut pro studio. My friend is using vegas and windows. What format makes most sense for me to format to in fcp, so he can edit the sound as a separate track in his vegas? He will eventually make a copy for dvd and the web.

for a web version, I tried exporting to h.264 quicktime 7, put it on a hard drive, brought it to his house, loaded it on his windows computer and he couldn't open it. (He had the latest quicktime 7 version on his computer

Remember that QT Windows supports pro res as a free download.

Question is whether Vegas supports editing in QT. I don't know
