Im editing in Final Cut Pro, and want to color correct in After Effect (dont have money for the Automatic Duck jejeje).

Is there a way to export- import from one to another? Im stuck in the workflow. And another question, i have to decompress to color correct, but i have these two options.

1. Compress XML Footage -> Editing -> Uncompress -> Color Correct -> Export Final Movie.

or

2. Compress XML Footage -> Uncompress -> Color Correct -> Edit -> Export Final Movie.

Thanks!

Well... its not the best user friendly color correcting program... not for me..
and, i want to use a plug in that comes in the Stu Maschwitz The DV REbel's Guide book.

Uncompress? Uncompress what? The footage? Sorry, that was compressed by the camera...no way to uncompress that.

And no, there is no way to get your FCP timeline to AE with the clips in the proper order without Automatic Duck.

Color is the way to go...or get COLORISTA and use that in FCP. Get a tutorial DVD on Color and it'll demystify it.

Adobe CS4.01 Premiere Pro supports FCP XML
Export XML in FCP -> Import XML to Premiere CS4.01 -> send to AE from Premier Pro using Dynamic link.

:D
