exporting error

I have had no problems exporting files from Avid...until today. And it's with a bin/sequence I've exported before too. So something's changed. Now when I try to export the sequence as a QT Reference file (video and audio tracks) I get this error message:

Unable to export the bin.

Note I only get this message when I try to export both video and audio. Exporting video works fine. Then when I click on the "MORE" option on the error message to get more info, it says this:

AudioMixDownController::SetAsIntegerBytesPerSample() newBytesPerSample[0] out of valid range.[Min:2;Max:4]

It's Greek to me. Anyone know what's going on?

(Note, it seems I'm getting an error whenever I export audio in ANY file format. I just tried AVI and I get a similar message: Unable to export the bin.)

No. It doesn't contain mixed rates. At least it never did before. And I've now tried re-installing Avid to no avail. Even when I go to other sequences and try the export, again, it tells me I can't export the bin when I try to include the audio tracks in the export. All of these sequences used to export just fine. It seems some setting has been changed within the computer.

When I was working on Adrenaline I would find this sometimes and the fix was double clicking the sequence a few times or opening and closing the sequence and or bins. It for some reason was trying to export the bin as video file instead of the sequence. All the times I saw that error this fixed it, but maybe this wont help!

Try exporting the audio as a WAV file first, then reimport and edit back in and see if that fixes the issue.

thank you! :laugh: re-importing as WAV seemed to work. don't know why, but it did. all seems re-set to normal and it's exporting all files fine again. computers! :angry:
