Export to tape sound problems

i have been final projects back onto a master tape tonight and my most recent video goes onto the tape but there is this clicking noise through out it spaced randomly. it doesnt play on here, but when i go from peremiere 2.0 to the dvtape, with headphones plugged into the camera, i hear it. any ideas?

Have you tried listening to it not using the headphone? A lot of cameras have problems with their headphone jacks.

I agree the headphone amplifier within the camera isn't the quietest thing, however its contribution to a "clicking noise" is unlikely. I would suspect that these might be insert discontinuities in the edits. Go back to your NLE and use the same cans (headphones) to determine if they exist there.

Good thoughts. I'd try that first.

If the problem is not in the edit, be sure to render the audio before export.

it plays clickily with or without headphones once it is put onto the camera tape. it plays fine while i play the timeline in premiere. and when i export it from premiere it still plays good. even online it plays fine. i tried 2 different cameras, 2 different firewires, 2 different tapes, diffrent songs instead of the one i am using and it still acts up. it was working fine up until this point.

and also other projects i just put on do it now. im going to uninstal premiere and put it back on and hope it goes away.

That didnt work either. i made an uncompressed quicktime of the final video and im going to try final cut with a dv deck. if that doesnt work im breaking everything i see. thanks for the help though.

no it cant be from recording or capture, it is just clips without sound ontop of a song. the song is what clicks. it does it with any song with any clips as well. it is driving me insane. i am on a laptop and i have a firewire card that i pop in the side so that is the last thing i can think of that might cause a problem before i whipe out the computer.
