EXPORT to device P2 impossible with 720N/25P

Well...

when i try to export to the P2 from a 1080 /25P project loaded with 720N / 25P (as MichaelP recommended to do with the 720N / 25P material )
there is in Video Format just UNAVAILABLE


and if i click to export i got error message:

" P2 UNABLE TO CONVERT BETWEEN FORMATS "

I dont' believe Avid can convert between 720 and 1080.I could be wrong,
but go to Avid forums and post a note.

I have shot some footage on my hvx201 in 720 25pn mode. i have imported this in avid media composer 3.0. my projekt settings are also 720 25, and now i want to export the timeline to p2 device (card in pcmcia slot).

a p2 export settings window opens, (and video format says unavailable), when i click ok I get a message: p2: unable to convert between formats.

when i would change the projekt settings to 25p, i am able to export to the p2 card (this is dv quality), but that is obviously not what i want.

does anybody know why i cannot export this material to the p2 card?

Avid's implementation of writing to p2 cards simply does not support any pN material.
