Exploitation Movies

I want to make about 5 70's exploitation movies armed only with my trusty DVX, FCP, and AE. Any advice, tips, tricks, or anything concerning looks, in camera effects, post, or anything? I'm going for the Gordon Parks Shaft look, with a little Let's Do It Again, and Serpico thrown in for good measure. The music will be Barney Miller type and the cheesy factor will be full on Starsky and Hutch.

A 35mm adapter might help. I'd get a static one since any grain you might see would help you achieve your look.
