Hi everyone!
I don`t know what to do, should I buy my DVX100AE from Expandore ??? (unauthorized dealer, I guess) or better not risk and stick with B&H Photo, who also sell DVX100AE PAL? Please HELP, especially those who had any expierence with Expandore, cheers!
I'm guessing you're not going to find people here who have experience with Expandore, because if they're not an authorized dealer, no one is going to be buying from them.
Don't buy from an unauthorized dealer. Always be safe! Email rich@evsonline.com and ask about the DVXUser discount. It's a pretty sweet deal.
Yeah, I`m aware of that, but I know that some members had business with Expandore and they have no complains! Expandore - 3500$ for DVX100AE, Creative Video - 2500£, B&H Photo - 4000$, I mean there is a difference + I`m form Europe...don`t know, I guess I should stick with B&H Photo or Creative Video cause they`re authorized dealers...oh, YES, or EVS, do they actually sell 100A PAL??
I just went to EVS Online, but I could not find them selling DVX100AE!!! Speaking of Expandore, I`m not even sure wether they`re unauthorized or not, maybe they are, if somebody knows, would be nice to know!
P.S. It`s not about the money, just curious, it`s not worth spending a few buck less and ending up with some gray market cam with no warranty
If you search, you will find NUMEROUS posts of people being ripped off by unauthorized dealers. I would spend the extra money and be sure to get a good product. I was VERY CLOSE to being one of those people who got ripped off. Luckily I found this site and got some proper guidance before I sent off the credit card info. I don't know if Expandore is authorized or not, but I do know that B&H IS and if someone is offering it THAT much cheaper, then there is a good chance they probably are not authorized. IMO.l
Hi,
I''m Malaysian ,
I have go there Expandore before, there are on Singapore.
I live at Johor state ,very near so sometimes will go there.
Dont worry that is not fraud shop.
This is confusing , so Expandore is not a FRAUD, that`s good, but are they authorized?? I don`t know...I guess I`ll stick with B&H Photo, just don`t want to risk!!
Yeah! One more thing, if I order from B&H Photo, as I understand they`re in New York, right? So, will there be any problems shipping DVX to Europe, Latvia or that`s not an issue anymore? What if it comes broken or something ???, stupid question I guess Thanks!!!
You don't have to worry about ordering from Expandore. I don't know if they are authorized or not, but since you live in Europe a US-warranty wont do you much good anyway, so the only downside would be if you get ripped on the accessories or get a used one. Expandore are good guys.
hi Ansis
I live in Poland and three months ago I've bought dvx.
before we did some research - where to buy.
I can see a few problems in buing oversees:
1, custom fees + tax
all online shops ships by ups, dhl and other
it means all packages are cerfuly checked
it means you will have to pay tax (amount in your country)
and you will have to pay custom fees
both are very high in Poland.
2, guaranty - we asked in polish panasonic service
and they said:
- if the camera was bought in hong kong, malesia, usa
taiwan - and now needs to be serviced - you will pay
for service by your self, than you have to go to place where
it was bought to get money back (upon bills).
we are going to holland till monday so there will be no
contact with us, but maybe we could help you - in Poland
prices of dvx are going down, by the way how much is it at
your place?
Hey Balbina!
Thanks for the great INFO!I was very surprised that they sell DVX100AE in Poland, I mean they don`t sell DVX here in Latvia, I think nobody here has even heard about this GREAT cam , which sucks of course!
So you`re telling me I can buy DVX in Poland? At the moment I`m in UK, and I thought about ordering form www.creativevideo.co.uk, they`re authorized dealers in UK, but then...
Anyway, hope to hear from you soon!
Jenkuja I guess in Polish
Thanks again!
Two thumbs up for Expandore. Got my DVX102AE recently and although they weren't able to include the extra package of tapes I'd ordered with the camera, as they'd originally expected, they went out of their way to make sure it got to me ASAP.

the only place i would spend that much money is with RUSH at evsonline or b&h

Well the situation might be different if you don't live in the US, since a US warranty won't do you any more good than a Singapore warranty. =)
Of course it's safer to buy from a authorized dealer, which I'm not sure Expandore are. However in this case I have dealt with them personally and they are really good guys.
I second (or third?) that recommendation to go with EVS. As we speak Rush is putting together my shipment and so far I have been very pleased with the service.

Thanks Tim! My pleasure. ;D
I got my dvx from Expandore and i live in Australia. They are very reliable and respond to enquiries very quickly. I wouldnt worry too much about warranties. All these cameras get made in Japan and there are no "fakes". Either they work or they dont. If they dont then send it back.
PS I've love to order from evsonline but you guys dont send dont ship internationally!
