I was asked to shoot and produce a short website video for a bridal expo promoter, I had done previous years for them in betacam. I knew there would be photog flashes so held my breath and took the 300, putting it in 720/60i so the FBC would have maximum effect. I have posted a work in progress on Vimeo at:

The FBC did it's job at :21 & 1:14, although the flashes were far away and not too powerful. But here's a flash straight at me, think the first was their red eye feature:

I also had the challenge of downloading cards alone, it was a fancy hotel but I brought a lock chain for the laptop for when I left the download station unattended. I am pleased with the detail at 720/60i and fortunately there was a LOT of light on the models doing the runway.

Also, I am collecting shot samples of various situations to show clients that the 300 will work on their next gig since some of my clients are wary of 1/3", CMOS, etc.

Later,

That looks fine but not really a true test as there were very few flashes to worry about.

That is a very well lit catwalk and with digital cameras there is no need for flash, it is the low level pap type grab situations where cmos is being slammed and that mostly from the perez hilton type video hoodies that are thinking that a V1 is all that is needed to do news journalism, that is them being extended by lazy news editors who now think that a V1 or a stills camera is now able to do full video.

They then whinge that they get flash banding and this follows over into the pro video market.
