I have recently started working on a project with a rented EX3, we are hooking up and SQN to it.
My question is, how do i correctly sync the output of the mixer to the input in the camera using tone. When i shoot on Beta, i just use the display on the of the camera and set it to peak around 10. The EX3 doesn't have a numbered display, just the bars on the LCD...
Initially my friend told me to set it so the bars were just peaking on the LCD... but that ended up being distorted. Today when i shot, i set it so it was around half way and when i reviewed the footage, the levels were quite low.
Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, but if you know where i am going wrong...?
