EX3 Shoulder Mount w/ Lectro wireless

Thought I'd throw this up for folks to have a look at. After struggling to find an adequate way to deal with wireless on my EX1 I upgraded to the EX3 and it's theoretically easier shoulder mounting options. However, I wasn't satisfied with the built in mount and thus did a significant amount of research to arrive at the VFGadgets mount modified slightly with a Zacuto Red Plate to attach BEC bracket and boxes for wireless. I put an Anton Bauer battery mount on the Red Plate to power the whole package and it all serves to backweight the camera sufficiently to shoot comfortably for long periods of time (in theory).

I've yet to field test the rig, but at first glance, it's a pretty solid system that alleviates wearing a hip pack to hold wireless (as I often work with a sound mixer sending wirelessly to camera).

YA, good work... Do you have to take that off to mount on sticks?
Can you add a QR plate on the bottom of the new flat plate, then you could slide into a tripod . Maybe add some foam for comfort. I never thought much of the standard EX3 shoulder mount, you took it leaps and bounds above it's current limitations. Excellent!

Heres a pict of 2 wireless G2s and batteries mounted on my EX1
Cheers

Yeah there's a bit of foam underneath and in addition I have a Camera Comfort Cushion to shield the weight off the shoulder. Currently, I put the QR plate on the shoulder mount, but since the battery plate is mounted on the mount itself, it seems
like I have to put the QR plate on the bottom of the mount so I can attach to sticks.

YEAH, mount it there it makes snapping off the tripod real easy to go hand held and counter balances nicely as well.
You may have to snake your cables up as well, i bought 1 foot XLR extenders from B&H , if it's to tight it can bend and break the mini plug ends off.
Now, What is a camera comfort cushion, is the one at FILM TOOLS?
