EX3 Noise with Sufficient Light

Hello Ex3'ers!

I typically shoot with my HPX170, but today I had a paid shoot in which there was noise on some of the footage. I'm pretty self-critical, so I needed to find out why that was. The light was VERY sufficient (outdoor patio scene.)

Since i don't normally shoot with the EX3, I need to figure out what I did to make sure I don't do this again.

Do you have any ideas as to why noise happened in sufficient light? Iris settings?

Thanks in advance!

Check your footage info in Sony Clip Browser's acquisition tab. What do the settings say?

Thanks Duke and Adam.

Since I don't have the camera again until Friday, I can't check the clip settings, but I was shooting 1080/30p. Pardon the question, but what is the AGC (Gain control?) If I were shooting on my HPX, I'd be golden, but having to take a crash course in EX3.

There were spots of sunlight coming down on a scene with some children around a table, and they were a bit hot, causing me to stop down a little. The gain was set at 0 (since the HPX ALWAYS loves to turn on gain without asking, I checked that one first before shooting.)

I wish I had the footage to show, I'll have to get clips and post. Sorry...
