EX3 BP-U30/60 runtimes and other battery options?

What effective run times do you guys get out of your BP-U30/60 batteries with the EX3?
Let's say in a normal shooting condition where you check your shot footage every now and then.

The only professional option I found was using Anton Bauer QR-X3 mount, but they say it'll only work with their Hytron 50 and Dionic 90 batteries, are there any other pro options besides AB?

I have this baby and it works quite well. The runtime with two 7000Mha 7.4 volt batteries is over 6 hours; perhaps 8 hours- I haven't checked

Guy, thanks for the link. It's a 3rd party battery equivalent to the original, I'm not so keen on that. I would love to have a pro battery so I can shoot a whole day (around 8 hours) without changing.
Kenny... this looks pretty interesting, although it also uses standard batteries..
on the product site they state this for runtime:
http://www.dolgin.net/VDoubler.htm

Monitor or camera 15W
5400 mAh batteries (pair) - 5 hours
7800 mAh batteries (pair) - 7.5 hours
4000 mAh 14.4V battery (one Sony BP-U60) - 4 hours

So a single 4000mAh original Sony runs longer than two 5400 mAh 3rd party? That can't be right!!??

4000MAh is 14.4 volt x 4.0 = 60 watts = 4 hours
5400MAh is 7.2 volt x 5.4 = 40 watts
a pair should give you 39x2=80 watts
In fact a pair should give you about 5.5 hours
I also have a pair of Power2000 from Adorama. They rated for 7.4 volt 8000mAh.
A pair of these should give me about 8 hours runtime i guess.

I have an EX1, so I'm not sure if the ex3 consumes more power, but I typically can shoot for a full day 8 hours on 2 U60's and a spare one for overtime, but I've honestly never gone through more than 2 even on 12+ hour days... However, I'm conservative with my power by shutting the camera down when changing shots, breaking for lunch or a new set up. But if I had to keep the camera on all day, shoot, check footage and leave it on during lunch and down time, I would still be confident with 2 U-60s to do the job... They've been great batteries, they're pretty cheap and maintain a good charge.

Is your main concern not switching batteries at all throughout the shoot? Is DC power port not an option? Or are you looking for additional battery support? I have never used the SWIT but they have added battery options that the U30/60s don't. Could be a good potential option.

That's great info, just what I wanted to know, thank you!
EX1 and 3 have the same power consumption so I can go with that info.
I won't keep my camera powered on during breaks etc. so I should be fine with two U60s then.

Actually I was planning on getting a shoulder mount and then use a pro battery mounted on back as counterweight. Switching a battery is not really an issue, DC power use will be in most situations since our next film will have a lot of locations where the use of DC power is not possible or very inconvenient..

but at least now I know what to expect.. thanks again.
