EX3 and MKH 416

One simple solution is to loop a little of the 416's XLR cable through the mic holder itself, right next to the mic. It will make for a more snug fit.
 
I´d just find some shock absorbing material (foam, rubber etc) and wrap it around the 416 to make the part thicker, where it connects to the mic holder.
