EX1's focus is all... croakus...

i'm using the EX1 camera in both auto and manual... and tilting it on it's side for portrait mode. now, it's fine for a moment, but then i feel a little "click" inside the camera, and nothing or just the very bottom of the picture is in focus... if i set it right-side up, the focus generally takes a second or two to right itself... but it comes back. i've never seen anything like this... has anyone else experienced this issue with the EX1, or is this camera SOL?

Taking a break from shooting right now and tested turning camera on its side, upside down, 360 degrees, and heard no click and no focus issues. Had red peaking on and watched as camera was turned peaking stayed in focus. This is in manual mode as we never use auto for anything.

Does the optical stabilization has anything to do with it?
