EX1R to laptop Questions

I have a shoot coming up on my EX1R, 10 hours nonstop of SD footage. I was wondering what would be the easiest setup to avoid having to keep swapping and dumping cards or rent any extra hardware. Can you record SD firewire out directly into the laptop. Up until now i've only worked on the SXS cards. so if anyone has any advice on things to look out for, or the most efficient workflow, it would help me out a bunch. Thank you much

How much do you need to record every day? There are 32Gb cards out and also 64GB. Get 4 or those and you can pretty much shoot for a whole day without any worries...

There are HDD but they are heavier and add clutter.. Focus enhancements does 4 different units that work with the EX1... Give them a call and find out what rental house has them. Or ring a local supplier and find out what rental house they have sold them to.
