EX1 with Mini35

I'm currently in pre-production for a short film I will be shooting in March. I've tested the EX1 with my DP and I love the footage. If I were to get a 77mm-72mm stepdown ring could I use the Mini35 set up for the Z1 on the EX1?

I dunno.
I think that Redrockmicro and Cinevate both have viable solutions for their respective adapters. It was to do with the larger chip size 1/3 vs 1/2 inch. I'm curious to see what the verdict is?
