Best manual out there is Vortex Media's EX3 DVD Guide. Goes through everything in detail and has you up and running in a few hours.

Agree 100% with Steve. The Vortex DVD is chock full of useful tips and techniques from a real pro. The inside skivvey on "basics" and dazzling advanced tricks. So useful for what I do. Saved me from many mistakes.
