EX1 Lance controller

I've been having difficulty pulling focus with the ex1 when using it on the tripod to need to follow sport action. My right hand is moving the arm head on the tripod and my left hand is focusing when necessary, however I am unable to zoom in or out on the subject. I have been thinking of buying a lanc controller for the Ex1. What is a reliable, reasonably priced one for this camera?

Libec has one and is the only one on the market that is switchable for EX1 to the other ENG lens on the market.

I use it for my EX1 and also the DSR350...

Where do you plug it in? I didn't think the EX1 had a LANC connection.

it has max speed reduction wheel, so you can limit max zoom speed , would like the feature for the crane shots.

It's not LANC, it's a Sony proprietary connector. No focus, no iris either sadly, not even push to focus. Perhaps the protocol can control them, but Sony hasn't told anyone how to do it yet. I think Varizoom claimed to have focus working, but they haven't released anything yet.
Why Sony hobbled the lens control so I have no idea, but it's very annoying in many situations.
