ex1 & HDW-2000p via hd-sdi

I´m not that good with all the technic stuff with cameras etc. So I need to ask some stupid questions.

I´m planning to shoot a music video with ex1 and connect it to HDW-2000P hdcam recorder via hd-sdi to get better color resolution and bitrate. I´m just wondering that could this combo cause any kind of problems?? I have never worked with any kind of recoders with my camera so I´m a bit nervous that is there something that I can do wrong to mess things up?? Is there something special that I need to pay attension to??

Ever thought about using the Flash XDR instead? It has higher quality than HDCAM and offers tapeless workflow.

I have very little information about flash xdr... Why is it better than hdcam? What is the price for fully functional system?
