hey all,

so, have people been using the SXS-1 cards with the new firmware? I just wanted to make sure there haven't been issues before i bought one.

I've been using the 2-32 gig sxs-1 cards since they came out and haven't had a single issue. I fill em' up and dump the footage to my computer hard drives or sometimes to a laptop. No probs!

Have you ever compared the download speed of those new cards compared to the traditional SxS model? I'm assuming they would be the same but was curious.

The only other card I have is a 16 gig card that came with the camera, but otherwise the download speeds seem the same. And you can call me Tony!

Hey all,

Has everyone found that B&H has the cheapest prices for sxs-1s? Im in Australia and it seems that thats the place to get them. Anybody know of anywhere cheaper.

Sometimes there are specials, like a two pack for cheaper. The one on the Sony website expired though. Be careful who you buy from but you might also try tapesonline.com, adorama, abe's, etc. It also seems like the 32 gig cards are the only SxS-1 cards available now.
