EX1 and skin tones outdoors

I haven't had my EX1 for very long. Hopefully someone can help?

My friend are going to shoot a short with the cam and we did some test shots outdoors with various scene file settings, which included: The one suggested on the Vortex Media DVDs, the camera's factory default settings, and also all of the one's listed on the dvxuser- Ex Picture Profile Thread. For some reason skin consistently has a bit of a yellow cast.

Also, solely the flesh tones look over-exposed in the outdoor default shots...?

all indoor shots looked fantastic.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it... Or if I missed a thread hopefully someone could guide me to it.

Thanks!

If flesh tones are looking over exposed outdoors, are you using the ND filters? Both of 'em? Also, if you're shooting manual exposure, doesn't simply closing the iris a bit until your zebras are gone work? I've never had skin tone problems outdoors because controlling brightness/overexposure is easy to do. BTW, I had easily-blown-out cheeks outside with the default settings, but with the Vortex Media PP it's not been a problem since. Any "yellow" cast is probably a white-balance issue. Are you properly white balancing your shoots?

Thanks for the responses! I'm still learning about photography, but I found that white balancing with a light yellow card solves the skin tone problem... Is it normal to use a yellow card at times, instead of white?

Also, stopping down the iris a hair solved everything else.
