Check out some of the NanoFlash samples at 100Mbps or more, it will have similar results. Essentially you're looking at improved colours and lower compression artefacts. How noticable this is will depend on your subject (static/slow moving vs high speed random movement, smooth tones vs lots of small colour detail etc)
The difference will be more noticable only when the EX codec is challenged or say green screen work, in simple situations the EX codec is already very good.
But those are the extremes. For most circumstances the EX1 is robust and produces a lot less compression artifacts than HDV and most other cameras.
However, use a Nanoflash or XDR to record from the HD-SDI out and suddenly you've got full-raster 100Mbps codec video from a camera with a 1/2" sensor - well within the BBC's and most other broadcast guidelines! Black Magic can be uncompressed, so no compression artifacts, if you have the drive speed.
