I see in another post that panasonic is giving a 400.00 rebate on the 100b,evs shows 200.00.
Is the 400 everywhere?why doesnt evs offer it.

They do. The rebate doesn't come from the dealer, it comes from Panasonic directly. So if you buy from any authorized dealer, you're eligible for the full $400 rebate.

What I'm not getting is *where* to get that rebate form. Dealer? Panasonic? Panny's website doesn't seem to have a rebate form to fill out...or do they?

Thanks!

It's on the Panasonic website. In fact IINM you fill it out electronically on the Panasonic website and submit electronically.

The rebate form has also been made available to the dealers to give to the customer when the unit has been purchased. But the fastest way to to fill out the form is online, plus you get your FREE DVX Book and Magic Bullet Software!

200 isntant rebate, 200 mail in

the 200 off from evs is the stores rebate and the 200 remainder comes from panasonic.

Panny has a $400 rebate right now, not $200, then you'll get the usual DVXUser discount from EVS.

total of 600 back

total of 600 back

based on the rebate form from panasonic, they send you 400.00. add the instant 200.00 that evs gives and it is 600.00 total

The 200 is only given because of the DVXUser discount at EVS right (nothing to do with the rebate Panasonic offers)? Which means, if I was to purchase from B&H, the total discount would only be $400 (only the rebate)?

I've been researching for months on where to buy by DVX. After almost getting shysted by Camera City, I set out to research some dealers. I knew B&H was reputable but I would rather give my money to someone else.

Ramsey at EVS Hooked me up. He was able to beat B&H’s price on a dvx100b and also on the Bogen 503,351MV tripod.

Also, the service was awesome. He actually took time to BS with me. Not that I called to make knew friends, but it felt good knowing that the guys at EVS care about their customers.
Funny thing happend too. When I was on the Line with Ramsey I overheard other employee’s telling him that he had an important call to take, but he didn’t take it. He made me, the customer, the priority.

Thanks again Ramsey. Great Service

Can someone at EVS clear up the whole discount thing once and for all? Do we get $600 off the DVX100B by purchasing it from EVS? ($400 from panny and $200 from EVS ?)

Dario,

I'm not with EVS but I just purchased a DVX100B from them today.

The $200 that you are seeing at EVS (in their catalog or on-line) was the mail in rebate from Panasonic in Jan 2006. EVS has not updated their site.

As of February 1, 2006, Panasonic is offering a $400 rebate. Mail-in or on-line. I just applied for mine on-line.

That's all there is regarding rebates...

But... what you might be seeing or hearing is that EVS also offers a discount off the price of the DVX100B to dvxuser members (in addtion to the rebate). I don't think it's $200, but it's close. (Don't quote me on that).

I hope this helps?
