EVF to hdmi hot shoe attachment

I switched from the GH1 (which has a wonderful EVF) to the D5100 which can only record video in LV mode. I have been looking for an EVF that can be attached to a hot shoe that would plug into the hdmi out of the camera. Do they make this sort of thing? I have seen the ones for the GF1 but I don't think that it can be adapted.

Does anyone know?
