EVF seems half as bright as LCD screen...

Not sure why this is, but my EVF seems a lot darker than my flip out LCD screen on my AF100.

I tried playing around with the brightness level, but it doesn't really help. Does anyone know why the image in the AF100's EVF would be considerably darker than what you see on the flip out LCD screen? Aside the brightness button, any other way to correct this?

I use my LCD along with the Waveform monitor to judge proper exposure, but I'm just mystified as to why the image in my EVF looks so much darker than on the LCD screen.

Sorry, no, I wasn't aware you could adjust the brightness of the EVF screen. How do you do this? I went through all the menus but didn't find that tweak.
 
The external LCD has to be brighter since it has to contend with ambient light. The EVF does not, so it generally doesn't "have" to be as bright.

Question is, do you need it to be as bright?
