Unfortunately no. I think Barry mentioned that he tried to assign it to a user button, turn it on, then reassign the user button. The problem is that you need to turn on EVF detail everytime you power on the HMC40. It is really too bad I would like to just turn it on in a menu and then leave it on.

But I have the WFM permanently glued on User3, and usually "last clip" on user two, so for me, the cam has no available user buttons...Roger that.
For me that means the cam has two user buttons

I share your pain. Does anybody really use blackfade on a user button? My 2004 Ram pickup has a combo cassette tape - disc player too.
The WFM is an item you would turn on and off in the course of shooting unless you use it in combo with the VF. Last clip is a use it as you need it item so requires a button. EVH-Det is probably wanted or needed in the on position all the time. FWIW, I have so far made the same choices for my user buttons.
Any chance you help influence a firmware update with Jan.

I would never have EVF DTL anywhere but "on". I would think it would be best served as a menu item in the display setup menu, rather than as a user button.
Suggestions are welcome, but firmware updates so far haven't resulted in any feature changes.
