EVF Detail turning off?!

Had my 2nd full day of shooting with an AF100 today (actually AF102)

really enjoying using the camera except for one weird fact.

I use peaking/EVF detail whenever its available on a camera.. so was naturally using EVF Detail on the AF today..

However, i closed the LCD to conserve battery and keep it out of the hot sun and then reopened it.. EVF Detail had for some reason turned itself off.. weird.

Now am i missing something here.. or is this a bug? I searched the forum but came up with nothing.

They are running the firmware before the latest VFRNewAudioSymbolwithaCrossthroughitThingy..
 
Ive not seen this.

I often flip between he VF and the screen but I hate that I have to open the screen to turn the EVF detail on or off.

It's never mysteriously turned itself off though.
