Everything Must Go!

Not a bad little piece for among friends with a nice slice of life quality about it. In commenting upon it theres a few things. Overall, the acting isn't very good and kind of one note, I wouldn't say that any of them are actors.. right? And you can take that with a grain of salt cause I had done of ton of these things with friends, but ultimately switched to casting serious actors.

The other point is that your audio is really not very good. Your levels are all over the place with a lot of ambient noise and you have some overmodulated stuff, especially the guy yelling and the girl at the table. Did you shoot this with the onboard mike?

Cheers for posting it and I'm sure it was a fun shoot. The only other point I'd say is that you ahve quite a few opening credits that I'd cut them down or out.. and just put them at the end. Your ending logo is really awesome though. Loved that. That was cool as hell. Cheers on that!

I think it rocked man!

I liked the acting... It wasn't the BEST but it didn't distract me from the story... And I think that's the most important thing. The video quality it self looked pretty decent. I noticed a little off focus during one shot. The lighting could definitely be improved on. I noticed he light you put on the book shelf. I think you did an excellent job on the angles. I didn't think the audio was that bad..

Overall I think you did a great job. I was definitely willing to wait on my slow internet to see the conclusion... That is the ultimate test of a video ;)

thanks for all the comments, criticisms, etc. this was just a quick little thing i did among friends just for fun. no one on this is a professional actor. we do it, for the most part, for fun simply because we enjoy doing it. as far as sound, no boom was used mainly because there was no crew and there was a fan overhead on full blast (super hot that day). lighting wise, no lights, only regular househould items, such as lamps and ceiling fixtures. im still practicing with this cam and of course this is a great place to learn more.

thanks for taking a look!

Jonathan,

I really like your stuff. For the most part, I think it's funny and well written. And, for what it's worth, I think your actors are pretty solid.

Keep up the good work!
