Ever considered putting the Letus Extreme on a Super 8 Cam? We did for a couple shots

Just thought I would share the final version of my short film "Blood Father"

It was shot mainly with the HVX200a Letus Extreme Nikon 35,50,85mm 1.4 primes. We also shot with
the Canon 1014 XL-s super 8 film camera and some shots where done with an HVX200 naked lens.
We even tried using the Letus Extreme on the Canon 1014 XL-s for a couple shots. just for fun. Kinda cool.

This is a true and very personal film about my relationship with my father... Making and sharing this film has been difficult for me personally yet on the other hand it has also been a cathartic process. I have not spoken to my father in nearly two decades . My hope is that someone, somewhere, someday may see this film and be inspired to change for the better... So please feel free to watch and share.

Hope you enjoy and interested to hear all comments and thoughts. Thank you.

Chris,
I just watched your film, I am speechless. Hard to put into words right now how good it is because the emotions it stirs run deep. This should get an award. I will probably see you on a podium one day thanking the academy and so on and so on. Very very good job. How is that for feedback.

Excellent work. A bit too disturbing for me personally, but it's very good work. Congrats..

Hey Douglas,

It was a difficult work for me to make and very emotional, so somehow I feel a bit jaded by how true and personal the piece is to me. I really appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Thanks Matt & 8string for your comments, I definately appreciate the comments... This is not an easy film for me to share...

Stunning on every level.

Events like that can take people in vastly different directions, I am glad you have found a way to process it, hope your film does help you, and others. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

Regarding the actual filmmaking, was this storyboarded from the beginning or did it come together in editing, just curious what the initial concept was.

Very moving. Being a father myself it had my attention from frame one. Thanks for sharing such a personal part of your life.

My goodness - powerful work and beautifully emotional.

You have conveyed your pain very well so, if I'm feeling it then it must have been much more difficult for yourself.

I can only hope the process has helped you.
