Evening with Kevin Smith?

I just found out Kevin Smith is my city Sunday Night. I'm not a huge fan, but I do find him very entertaining. I caught the last half hour of one of his lectures on starz and it was good fun. Anyone ever catch his lecture? Is worth taking in?

Please... No "Kevin Smith sucks" or "Kevin Smith is a God"... I just want to know if it's a fun, worthwhile night. It would mean taking it "easy" for Super Bowl :( This is why I ask - Any other Sunday and it would be no worries...

I have the Evening with Kevin Smith DVD set and it's a blast. I don't necessarily love all his movies, but he's a pretty entertaining guy from what I see in his lectures. I'd go.

Ya, that's what I'm thinking - Like and dislike some of the work, but seems cool and very funny. WHY the same night as the ****ing Super Bowl??!!
 
I agree with Horse and Dakota....

Don't like most of his movies, but I admire Kevin Smith as a filmmaker and the DVD series was a lot of fun to watch.

Go see him and Tivo the superbowl. Just put cotton balls in your ears on the way home. It'll be like your own private christmas a week later. :)
 
I don't like his movies, but it would be interesting to hear from him about how he got them made and distributed. I don't necessarily respect his art but I DO respect that fact that he did it. :thumbsup:
 
He can go on forever though. When he was here (yeah, he came to Springfield, MO, go figure) they litterally had to shut the lights off the stage to get him to shut up and call it a night. :)

Um ... an interesting thing. I think it probably drew on a bit much for anyone other than a die-hard know-all-the-lines Kevin Smith fan.
 
I'm totally torn here

I had plans to rip er up Sunday but I would totally dig seeing him... :undecided

What bone head booked him on super bowl? :angry:
