EVA1: EVA1 Handle Grip Issue (Not from the serial numbers mentioned on Panasonic)

Quite simple - forget it. You have to send in your complete camera, and they will come back and state that a movement by 1.5 degree is within „their“ norm. I had that issue after the first two hours shooting with the EVA1, originally there was no movement but after the 2 hours it was there. I think that is not acceptable how that is treated by Panasonic. It would have been ok for me that they send me a new handgrip, but they rejected that because my unit was also out of this first serial number range.

But if you feel that your situation is different - then contact the support.

But maybe you will conclude as I did that for me: to purchase nothing in the future by such a company that behaves in such a way with professional products.

Beside that the color management of the EVA1 is still great, but my FS7 is not so much worser (and has no movement in the handgrip since 2 years).

Ranges of have been published where one gets another handgrip for free. But I do not have the link here.

I don't think you'd say that if you'd watched his video. I would contact support. that is defintely outside the norm after he locks it in at the second position.

There's no excuse for that. Unacceptable, especially for a professional product. One would think Panasonic would make that right. Did you purchase your EVA through a dealer like AbelCine where you have an actual sales rep or just 'click 'n ship' like B&H? If you have a rep, send them the video and they should be an advocate for you to Panasonic. If it's someplace like B&H with a good return policy and you're still within that time frame, just send it back for another.

He can go straight to Panasonic tech support. I had my HDMI port fixed and the team was terrific. Even gave me a loaner EVA1 when it looked like it would take longer than 5 days to repair. They stayed in constant communication throughout.

I ordered it directly from a Panasonic official reseller locally and down here, we have a Panasonic service center as well. Unfortunately the service center could not explain what could be the issue.

Right, that is even worser then my grip and a case for the support. Beside that my case is similar but maybe within the 1.5 degrees maybe (I cannot measure that) and should not happen to such an extend for a professional product as it seems to happen.
