EVA1 and Canon 10-22

I am inching closer to pulling the trigger on an EVA1. I was an early adopter of the AF100 and have a bag full of Canon EF glass for still photography, so it seems like a logical step up to me.

I'm curious whether anyone has used the EVA1 with the Canon EF-S 10-22mm F3.5-4.5 lens. Although not an expensive lens, it's one of my favorites for APS-C stills work and seems like it covers a range I would use a lot with the EVA1 as well. It is not on Panasonic's list of tested EF lenses, but I realize they can't try everything, and the older and cheaper lenses probably aren't their highest priority.

Does it cover the frame? Is it sharp? Do push AF and the auto iris work correctly?

Knowing I could use it with this lens would definitely push me a step closer to purchasing the camera.

I use the 10-18 lens from time to time and it works great. I know it’s not the same lens but you should be ok.

The lens should cover the sensor. Don't know about the rest. Easiest way to find out is to visit one of our dealers with a demo unit and try it yourself. If you ever visit Chicago you could stop by the AbelCine showroom, but I'd suggest calling ahead.
