Hi guys,

Got my EVA 1 last Monday and everything has been working fine, except for the LCD haha. Anyway I get to Aruba yesterday and head out this morning to do some shootout and I have no iris control. The space on the LCD where it is normally displayed is blank. My Canon 24-105 f4 lens was attached to the camera and working when I left, now nothing. I even tried my Canon 16-35 L ll and no luck. Any ideas? I am loosing faith in this camera. I am not sure that this thing is ready for prime time.

Sounds like the lenses aren't being recognized. Pull the lenses and re-initialize the camera. Then reattach and see if this solves the issue. If not, try resetting the camera to factory presets. If the issue persists, please contact Panasonic Tech Support.

Also, please check the Panasonic website to make sure that you are using EF lenses that have been tested by Panasonic for compatibility with the EVA1. It appears your two zooms are, but it can't hurt to be sure.

Update, focus peaking is working fine. I forgot to mention that before. I initialized the camera and it made no difference. Still no iris control or display on the LCD.

Well fortunately all is not lost as I have my B+W screw on filters, a circular polarise and a variable ND so I can get all the shooting done that I need.
