European scene files for 301

Hallo to everybody! I have a question for you: is there anybody that have changed the american scene files to european? I usually type the numbers in the scene files, but now i'm lazy and i want to load different scene files with SD. Before i start doing this i want to ask you if i have only to replace this FRAME RATE: 24 FRAME with this FRAME RATE: 25 FRAME and this SYSTEM FREQ:59.94Hz to this SYSTEM FREQ:50.00Hz or i have to do something else. Another question is this : in the CINEG scene file for ex the variable frame rate is on, so it means that i've to use the 720p mode, but what happens if i select the 1080p mode? The scene file will be load or not? And the last one : when i load the scene files it will load all the setups (24fps,12fps and so on ) or i can choose the scene file fps?
Thank you for the support!
Bests,
Roberto

Now what i want to know is that: if i copy this scene files on my SD card they will be available for 59.94HZ is it right? Another thing is that my 300 model is a 301 one. So i have to change this line AG-HPX300P to this AG-HPX301E ? And i have to change the frame rate too? And the version? I have read the thread named Downloadable Scene Files For .... but there is not a detailed explaination of the procedure to change the text to be able to load this files on the 301!
Bests,
Roberto

Ah I see what you mean now and understand.

As you say those scene files are for NTSC but I think if you just change the frame rate they will be OK for PAL.

Jan from panasonic wrote something about this a few years ago so I will see if I can find it for you.

I found this from Lez regarding his HPX302 and I think all you have to do is change the header file so that the HPX301 is there and the correct system frequency:

Hi.. so to create Pal versions of the scene files would we change the :
AG-HPX300P
SYSTEM FREQ:59.94Hz to

AG-HPX302EN SYSTEM FREQ:50Hz

and then adjust all the frame rates to PAL ???

CHEERS

Thank you Gary! I've read Jan's thread and i've find some procedures but not a modify scene file for PAL. I'm intersted to see how a PAL scene file looks like when changed!
Thank you again!
Bests,
Roberto

Ah! Ok thanks a lot! So the only thing to change is the name,HZ and frame rates!
So now i'll try this!
Bests,
Roberto

If you look at the sticky regarding scene files at the top of the HPX300 page that is where I got the details from.

http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?172064-Downloadable-Scene-Files-for-the-AG-HPX300/page2

here is the thread.... I'll see if I can track down my final settings...

I feel if it ain't broken why fix it...

It took me a little while to get my settings right and they have stayed that way ever since..

Cheers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgqFzJxDsMg ( a little muck around shoot done the other day... mix of GoPro and HPX302)...

PS...

I think the header was similar to this...

Ver 1.00-00
AG-HPX302EN
SYSTEM FREQ:50Hz

Wow! Thank you Lez! I don't see it in the thread! My mistake... i have had your same idea! I've download a scene file from the camera and see how it looks!
Thank you again and ... what a crazy festival!!! Good footage and no skew!
Bests,
Roberto

all cool... I think I just ended up using a slightly modified version of the Vivid settings... it gives the camera allot of pop (probably a bit too hot when you see red in the pic)..

I must admit I think I've turned the camera to 1080i for a shoot only once... never used 1080p... the camera sits ready to shoot at 720p...

You'll get to know what the camera can handle ... and then shoot accordingly...

Compared to shooting the 7d or GH13 the 300 is easy to use...

Cheers

PS.. I do like the DSLR but I find that without pimping them they tend to be a bit hit and miss...

Yes i think that 720 is the right way to shoot reportage or everything that requires fast recording without problems! But i like the 1080p when i can have light control in the scene or maybe strong sunlight. I'll buy a 7D in a month because in Italy low budget videoclips or short movies are filmed with DSLR.What a strange situation! I really don't like the idea because i love to use the 301. I'll still use it for a long time for reportage or documentary. The footage are great!
