Europe shoot tech question

I will be shooting some corporate interviews in Europe soon and have a few questions that someone here may be able to answer.

If I bring a NTSC DVX100 along, and rent lights over there, is there a problem with Kinos or HMIs running at 50 cycles while the DVX is recording 60fields per second? It's flicker or light pulsing that I am asking about.
What about 24p?

I assume that tungsten fixtures are not an issue, as it is in off speed film shooting, since the filament never goes dark between cycles.

If I don’t bring a camera along, are NTSC DVX cameras easily available for rent in Europe, or would I have to rent a PAL version and convert back home. I would be OK with hiring an owner/operator with a couple of cameras.

The countries are Denmark, Belgium, Holland and France as of now.

Any insights from well traveled DVX users would greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the renting issue most cams ive seen in europe is PAL, there isnt really any reason why someone in europe would want to shoot ntsc.

But if you shoot with shutter 1/50 and 24pa it wouldnt be any problem. On the other hand shooting 25P with PAL there is no problem converting to 23,97 NTSC.

Im in Paris and im sure theres a lot of 'moonlighting' NTSC DVX shooters here.
a good rental shop: http://www.tapages.fr. plus you can find frequent posts for video services at paris.craigslist. org, also a great way to buddy up with fellow itinerant english speakers.
