Error: UNknown Help

Charlie Anderson

Not so clever
So I've had this damn Error: unknown file error on a 12 min spanned clip that's pretty important for this shoot. I really don't have the money to be able to get P2 Log Pro even though I know it can fix my problem. Would anyone who has p2 log pro be willing to open the files that I have on my webserver and save it back to my webserver for me? I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

Ok so we went and re-shot the scene anyways, guess what? same problem! WTF?! Can't break it up, can't import it at all, it's a 16 min clip this time around and it just won't import...UGH any suggestions? I've tried the advance pulldown method, to no avail....grrr

What and how are you transferring the files? You do know you need to transfer ALL files including "last clip" at the root of the file structure.

Have you had any luck transferring files before with success or is this the first time?
The more info you give the more likely some of the genius's here can help you. (I'm not one of the genius's) :)

I have all the files on my FS-100, just organized P2 and then imported through FCP6.0.2. Everything imported fine except for that one long clip.

Interestingg enough, I copied the problematic clip onto my desktop, pointed FCP to that folder and it broke the clip up into 3 pieces. The first and last imported fine but the middle clip did not import, same error. It's relly weird. Never had this issue before.
