Rec Stopped. Now Writing. Check card compatibility.

This may not be word for word but it's close. I was using an Adata 8gig class 6 card. It happened about 25 minutes in to the card. I turned the camera off and on and it happened three more times about 30 seconds in to a recording. Finally I took the card out and put a new one in and everything worked fine. This also happened twice on another card. Any ideas?

Would it help to format a brand new card before using it?

It's always a good idea to format your cards new or otherwise.
Also use your computer to run a disc scan to see if you have some bad memory sectors on your cards.

With the card in the camera go to your Menu and find the Card Fuctions section.
You'll see an option to format your card.

In your computer go to My Computer and you should see a Removable Disk icon.
Right click it and in the pop up box you'll see Format.
Click Format and use FAT32 as the file system.
It should defualt to FAT32 but if not make sure you use FAT32.

Piece of cake....
