I've been shooting with both HVX200 and HPX170 using 16GB P2 cards (the original ones). I use a Duel Adapter and P2CMS software version 1.0.0 to offload the cards to my Intel MacBook Pro running OS 10.4.11 following the directions from Barry Green that I found here on DVXusers.com. I consistently get two rather disconcerting error messages.
The first message occurs when I initiate Import. A box comes up that says "Copying. Registering to database." Then after each clip is imported, a little box pops up with "Failed to Save. [Volumes/NO NAME] cannot be written. Please confirm if it is locked." This one shows up with I've locked the overwrite tab, but not if I don't. I still lock it anyway.
Then when all is complete, a "Detail result of export" report pops up listing each clip followed by "It failed to copy a file. It rolled back."
Although the files seem to import just fine and they work fine with FCP's Log and Transfer, I don't like having to override error messages. Any idea what causes these messages and what to do about it? Is there a real problem here? I haven't been able to find anyone else talking about this, so it makes me very nervous.
Thanks,
Tommie
